Centrax to supply generator sets to Russia

Centrax recently announced that it has won a new order for the supply of two CX501-KB7 generator set packages to Nobel Oil in Russia. The two outdoor packages will be located at an oil and gas facility in the Yuzhno-Oshkoye Field which is located in Russia's Komi Republic, approximately 1,000 kilometers northeast of Moscow. The 5.2 MWe generator sets will each be used to power the oil extraction plant at the site, and will be powered by associated gas from the oil production process, significantly reducing quantities of gas flared at site.

Nobel Oil requires the equipment in order to achieve new targets for reduced flaring, which come into effect in Russia at the start of 2013. This latest order brings the total number of Centrax units in Russia to 33.
