BEIJING, July 30 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Huaneng Power International, Inc. ("HPI" or the "Company")(NYSE: HNP; HKEx: 902; SSE: 600011) is pleased to announce that a 600MW domestic ultra-super-critical coal-fired generating unit (Unit No.5) at Fujian Fuzhou Power Plant Phase III (which is wholly-owed by the Company) has recently completed the 168-hour trial run.

Up to the present, the Company's controlled installed capacity increased from 49,433MW to 50,033 MW and the installed capacity on an equity basis increased from 45,912MW to 46,512MW.
