Torque Capital Group has combined its acquisitions of Triumph Precision Castings, an investment casting foundry, and Dynamic Turbine, a precision machining company, to create Triax Turbine Components. Triax is a vertically-integrated U.S. manufacturer of hot gas path parts for industrial and aero turbine engines.

The name “Triax” reflects the company’s ability to deliver turbine components in three forms: raw castings, machined castings, and finished parts.

Headed by 20-year industry veteran Mark Doelling, Triax has experience with airfoil shapes and specializes in the production of blades, vanes, and shrouds. The Company also provides related services including reverse engineering and supply chain management. With in-house investment casting and precision machining capabilities, Triax can ensure supply and quality in all phases of production. Through concurrent engineering and synchronization of the two facilities’ production schedules, the Company can drive down costs and ensure on-time delivery.

“Increasingly, we’re seeing customers forced to accomplish more with fewer resources, while maintaining the same level of service to their customers,” says Doelling. “One call to us gives them seamless and cost-effective program management.”

Triax Turbine Components’ foundry is equipped with a fully automated and environmentally controlled shelling line and VIM casting furnaces producing equiaxed, directionally solidified (DS) and single-crystal castings (SC). Each casting is serialized for complete traceability, and all parts are certified to inspection and material testing requirements. The machine shop is equipped with new five-axis grinding centers as well as state-of-the-art milling, EDM, lathes, ATOS white light saner, and scanning CMMs.
