Atlas Copco Acquires Augmented Reality Laser, Video Projection

Extend3D GmbH is a German developer of augmented reality solutions.

Atlas Copco acquired Extend3D GmbH, a developer and producer of augmented reality worker guidance for industry customers, using laser and video projection. The systems include 3D video and laser projectors, supporting manufacturing processes in Industry 4.0. The company has customers mainly within automotive, large transportation, aerospace, and general industry. Extend3D GmbH will become part of the motor vehicle industry division within the industrial technique business area of Atlas Copco.
