Recent developments for the Swedish company

First move is the purchasing of LEWA and Geveke. LEWA is a leading manufacturer of diaphragm metering pumps, process pumps and complete metering systems. LEWA offers industry-specific pump solutions for a range of industries.Geveke distributes compressors and engineers advanced and complex process pump installations. Most of the businesses are being put into the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area, with a smaller part going to the Service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.

Next, they bought Suzhou Since Gas System Co. The Chinese company specializes in on-site gas generation for a broad spectrum of industries including metals, petrochemical, marine and electronics. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2022. The acquired business will become part of the Industrial Air division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.

Third in sequence is Shandong Bozhong Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd, another Chinese who develops and manufactures liquid ring vacuum pumps and systems.The company has a customer base in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.The acquisition is expected to close in Q1, 2023. Shandong Bozhong will become part of the Industrial Vacuum Division within the Vacuum Technique Business Area.

Finally, is the acquisition of Montana Instruments Corporation. They provide cryostat solutions for customers involved in physics research and low temperature technology solutions. The Montana Instrument cryostats can attain temperatures down to 4°K without the use of liquid cryogens. The cryostats are typically used to observe and characterize quantum physics in cold materials. The purchase should finalize during Q4 2022. The company will become part of the Scientific Vacuum Division within the Vacuum Technique Business Area.
