Elliott Group announced recently that it will open a new, 5,780-sq.m. turbomachinery service center in the Technological and Economic Development Area (TEDA) of the Binhai New District, Tianjin, China. The new facility, to be opened on May 7, 2015, will repair and maintain rotating equipment for customers in the oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, refining, and coal industries. The facility's location in TEDA and proximity to the Port of Tianjin Xingang is likely to make movement of equipment and components simpler.
Fully equipped and staffed to repair all components of centrifugal and axial compressors, steam turbines, and hot gas expanders, including diaphragms, rotors, impellers, blades, bearings, and casings, the Tianjin service center utilizes advanced welding technologies. Some of them are TIG, Micro-TIG, and submerged arc welding, nondestructive testing, dynamic balancing, specialty machining, and custom parts manufacturing. The facility also includes a 200-sq.m. rotor storage area.
The Tianjin service center is the newest addition to Elliott Group's Global Service network. Elliott Group operates 18 service centers in China, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America, supported by parts depots in Japan, the UK, and the US.
