The extensive manufacturing experience of Doosan Skoda Power and the nuclear components-related expertise of Doosan Enerbility will be combined for successful project execution.

Doosan Enerbility signed an approximately KRW 320 billion contract with its Czech subsidiary, Doosan Skoda Power, to supply a steam turbine and turbine control system for the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant Units 5 and 6—a nuclear newbuild project underway in the Czech Republic. The contract scope includes supplying two machinery units consisting of the steam turbine-generator and control system.

“This contract is a significant case example showing synergy being created for a Czech nuclear project by bringing together the strengths of Korea’s nuclear expertise and Czech’s local manufacturing capabilities,” said Seungwoo Sohn, CEO of Doosan Enerbility’s Power Services Business Group. “We aim to successfully complete this Czech nuclear project by working in close collaboration with Doosan Skoda Power, and consequently do our best to contribute to the advancement of the Czech power industry.”

This contract represents the first nuclear newbuild project to be executed by both Doosan Enerbility and Doosan Skoda Power, aiming to reach maximum synergy by combining extensive manufacturing experience with nuclear components-related expertise. If Doosan’s Team Korea wins additional contracts following execution, the company may collaborate with Doosan Skoda Power on Temelin Nuclear Power Plant Units 3 and 4.

The Czech government partnered with the Team Korea consortium in June 2025, signing a landmark contract with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power for the Dukovany Units 5 and 6 project. Doosan Skoda Power holds expertise in power generation equipment, supplying 26 units of steam turbines for nuclear power plants in three countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Finland. In total, the company has supplied over 540 steam turbine units globally.

Qatari Plant

In late December 2025, Doosan Enerbility and Samsung C&T obtained a supplier contract to provide the primary components for the Qatar Facility E Independent Water and Power Production (IWPP) facility; specifically, the facility’s 2,400-MW gas-fired combined-cycle power plant. Doosan will deliver two 430-MW steam turbines and two associated generators, along with auxiliary equipment, by 2029.

The IWPP facility and combined-cycle power plant will be constructed approximately 10 km southeast of Doha, Qatar. This contract is evaluated at about KRW 130 billion, marking the second Qatari order since March 2025. Doosan’s previous contract, worth KRW 290 billion, covered the Peaking Unit Generation Plant.

In the Middle East, Doosan Enerbility has been establishing its reputation as a supplier of steam turbines and generators by successively winning contracts in 2025. These contracts include two gas-fired combined-cycle power plants in Saudi Arabia—the Ghazlan 2 and Hajar Expansion projects. Doosan also obtained additional supplier contracts for steam turbines and generators totaling KRW 340 billion.

Opatovice Plant

Also in December 2025, Doosan Škoda Power won a contract to modernize Unit TG6 at the Opatovice Power Plant, including the supply of a new condensing turbine and condenser, repair of the current generator, installation of new district water heaters, and a solution for piping and steel structures. The contract builds upon Doosan’s two prior successful deliveries and contributes to Opatovice’s ongoing decarbonization transformation.
