Elliott Group has appointed John Rann as Vice President of its newly integrated cryogenic pumps business, Ebara International Corporation’s Cryodynamics Operation (EIC Cryo).  EIC Cryo will operate as one of four business units within Elliott Group.

In making the appointment, Michael Lordi, Chief Operating Officer of Elliott Group, said, “John’s broad experience in oil and gas processing makes him uniquely qualified to lead EIC Cryo, and his in-depth knowledge of processes related to the production of LNG and other liquefied gases will reinforce this natural expansion of Elliott’s technologies and capabilities.”

Mr. Rann joined Elliott’s UK engineering apprenticeship program in 1973. In the four decades since, he has worked for each of Elliott’s business units, in every region of the world, in positions ranging from manufacturing and product engineering, to sales and marketing. Most recently, he has held executive roles as Vice President of Industrial Products from 2011 to 2013, and Vice President of Engineered Products from 2013 to October, 2017.

“Elliott and EIC Cryo share many of the same markets, product lines and customers,” said Mr. Rann. “The integration of EIC Cryo into Elliott Group is a natural fit that will improve efficiencies and provide a simplified customer experience. I look forward to building upon the synergies that will strengthen market share and add value to the Elliott brand.”

Elliott also announced the promotion of Shugo Hosoda to Vice President of Engineered Products, succeeding John Rann.  Mr. Hosoda transferred from parent company, Ebara Corporation, in 2016 to serve as Deputy Vice President of Elliott’s Engineered Products business. Prior to his transfer to Elliott, he served as Division Executive for Ebara’s Corporate Strategy Planning Division in Tokyo, Japan.
