In addition to five centrifugal compressor trains, the supply includes dynamic process simulations and a digital twin with virtual sensors for the integrally geared compressors.
Everllence was selected to deliver CO2-compression systems for the Net-Zero Teesside Power (NZT Power) and the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) projects, which fall under the United Kingdom’s East Coast Cluster decarbonization program in northeast England. In total, the company will supply five centrifugal compressor trains for two stages of the CO2 process:
The delivery also includes lubrication and control systems and process-specific auxiliary equipment, with all five systems compressing approximately 370,000 kg of CO2 per hour. Everllence will conduct dynamic process simulations to ensure that compressor systems operate at full process efficiency while the integrally geared compressors, using digital twins with virtual sensors, allow operators to evaluate measured data in real time. With machine learning capabilities, the compressor can adjust and refine its performance based on operating data.
“Our compressor portfolio is designed to meet the full range of process conditions in CO2 service, supporting everything from low-pressure to high-pressure applications, liquefaction, and pipeline transport,” said Dr. Marco Ernst, Head of Segment CCUS at Everllence. “With all compression solutions provided from a single source, we ensure seamless integration, technical reliability, and efficiency across the entire CCUS value chain.”
The NZT Power project is a commercial-scale gas-fired plant with integrated carbon capture and storage, developed as a joint venture between bp, Equinor, and TotalEnergies. It leverages NEP as the transportation and storage arm of the East Coast Cluster, gathering and permanently storing CO2 in offshore geological formations beneath the North Sea. This aids in the decarbonization of local power generation and industry in Teesside.

“This major initiative sets a precedent for climate-compatible power generation at scale,” said Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of Everllence. “It shows how flexible gas-fired plants can become part of a net-zero energy system when paired with carbon capture. We’re proud to contribute to this flagship project with our CO2 compression expertise, supporting both U.K. climate goals and long-term industrial competitiveness.”
The flagship project will produce over 740 MW of dispatchable low-carbon electricity, equivalent to the yearly power consumption of more than 1 million U.K. homes. The carbon-capture system will capture up to 2 million tons of CO2 per year and, when combined with other industrial sources, NEP’s infrastructure may transport and store up to 10 million tons of CO2 annually from the Tees Valley region.
Technip Energies is leading the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the NZT facility, including its CO2-handling systems. Also, GE Vernova joined the consortium with Balfour Beatty and Shell Catalysts & Technologies.
In August 2025, Everllence agreed to man and maintain the Kerrville Public Utility Board’s balancing power plant facility in Colorado County, TX, which is currently under construction. KPUB also contracted Everllence (formerly MAN Energy) to supply six 18V51/60G gas engines and auxiliary equipment, urea, lubricants, logistics, and administration, ensuring cost-efficiency and reliable operation.
