Aksa Energy is building a new combined heat and power (CHP) plant to provide sustainable heat and power for the Kyzylorda region. The new 240 MW CHP plant will be powered by two GE 6F.03 gas turbines. In addition, GE will provide maintenance services to help ensure long-term availability and reliable operation of the equipment. The country’s aging power infrastructure is heavily reliant on coal-fired power generation. The new CHP plant will help address the growing demand for reliable power, while balancing renewable energy and supporting coal phase out.
