Turbomachinery News Network: Arabelle Solutions, Baker Hughes, John Crane, and more

Arabelle Solutions signed a 10-year service collaboration agreement with the Dongfang Electric Corp. to service and maintain units 1 and 2 at the Taishan nuclear power plant. Per the agreement, Arabelle Solutions will handle the plant’s 1,750-MW steam turbine and related equipment, including the turbogenerator, condenser, low-pressure heater, and moisture separator reheater. Also, Bechtel selected Arabelle to supply a nuclear steam turbine, GIGATOP 2-pole generator, and associated auxiliaries and controls for TerraPower’s Natrium plant in Kemmerer, WY.

Baker Hughes and Glenfarne Alaska LNG recently formed a strategic alliance to advance the Alaska LNG project. Per the agreement, Baker Hughes will supply main refrigerant compressors for its LNG terminal and power generation equipment for the North Slope gas treatment plant, in addition to making an investment to support Alaska LNG.

ExxonMobil launched the Jenbacher NX Oil 40—a high-performance, long-duration, and hydrogen-ready lubricant designed to maximize performance and efficiency in Jenbacher’s current and next-generation natural gas engines. It meets the stringent design and application standards for Jenbacher Type 2, 3, 4, and 6 engines, helping operators improve uptime, minimize maintenance costs, and optimize performance across applications from data centers to peaking units.

Baker Hughes integrated Antea’s mechanical integrity features into its Cordant Asset Performance Management software. The updated software, available in Q1 2026, significantly expands Cordant’s functionality and provides users access to improved asset health, safety, and performance management across intricate energy and industrial operations.

John Crane launched a next-generation modular service framework to optimize and drive measurable performance enhancements for rotating machinery, dubbed Performance Plus. The service framework combines data-driven monitoring, expert consultancy, and hands-on training to help turbomachinery users cut downtime, improve reliability, and enhance long-term resilience.
