Phillips 66 has chosen Elliott Group to supply a compressor string for a key project at its Sweeny refinery in Old Ocean, Texas. The project is likely to enable the refinery to meet the requirements set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Tier 3 clean fuels standards. The engineering procurement contractor for the project is Jacobs Engineering Group.
Elliott will provide a recycle compressor designed to increase clean product yield, and the contract includes a master service agreement between the two companies. The equipment string includes a 25 MB motor-driven compressor. The unit, to be built and tested in Elliott's Jeannette, Pennsylvania factory, is scheduled to be delivered in early 2016.
