Honeywell acquired Sundyne from Warburg Pincus in an all-cash deal for $2.16 billion.
Honeywell completed its all-cash $2.16 billion acquisition of Sundyne, which includes approximately 1,000 employees and significant aftermarket revenue generated from a large installed base. Sundyne designs, manufactures, and supports aftermarket pumps and gas compressors for process industries.
The acquisition was initially announced in March 2025.
"Merging Sundyne's differentiated products with Honeywell's leading technology and R&D capabilities positions our business for significant growth," said Ken West, President and CEO of Honeywell's Energy and Sustainability Solutions (ESS) segment. "By enhancing our end-to-end process technology and critical equipment offerings, this acquisition allows us to provide improved solutions for our customers."
The acquisition from private equity firm Warburg Pincus boosts Honeywell’s ESS product portfolio and aftermarket services, integrating critical equipment with automation and control systems powered by Honeywell Forge. Sundyne will support Honeywell’s strategic growth potential for Honeywell UOP's value chains in refining and petrochemicals, LNG, and clean and renewable fuels.
Late last year, Air Products completed the sale of its LNG process technology and equipment business to Honeywell for $1.81 billion in cash. Initially announced in July 2024, transactional closing conditions have been met and regulatory approvals received. The divestiture of the LNG process technology and equipment business is strategic, allowing Air Products to focus on its two-pillar growth plan: growing its core industrial gases and related equipment businesses and delivering clean hydrogen at scale.
Following the closed sale, related assets, manufacturing capability, and personnel associated with the LNG process technology and equipment business were successfully transferred to Honeywell. This includes approximately 475 employees and the coil-wound heat exchanger manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL.
And in May 2024, Honeywell and Weatherford worked together on a comprehensive emissions-management solution for upstream operators. By combining Honeywell's emissions management suite with Weatherford's Cygnet SCADA platform, the integrated solution aims to help oil and gas upstream operators track emissions data in near real-time, identify and address potential issues, and meet regulatory requirements.
