The newly authorized partner maintains deep technical expertise in centrifugal compressor technology, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and much more.

Hanwha Power (formerly Hanwha Power Systems) recently appointed John Bouchard & Sons (JBS) as an authorized distributor of its centrifugal air and gas compressor technology across Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southwest Virginia. JBS is a leader in high-efficiency, oil-free centrifugal air and gas compression and this partnership bolsters the company’s compressed air product offering, in addition to its ability to deliver solutions to industrial engineers, facility managers, and plant maintenance professionals.

“The Hanwha relationship not only expands our product offering but it also aligns perfectly with what our industrial customers have been asking for,” said JBS President, William Morgan. “We’ve been in the compressor business for more than 30 years, and Hanwha’s centrifugal platform gives engineers and maintenance teams an oil‑free solution for today’s high‑demand applications.”

JBS has been an industrial air compressor distributor since 1991, offering over 30 years of experience in supplying, integrating, and servicing industrial compression systems. Since then, JBS has developed a deep technical expertise in centrifugal compressor technology, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, rebuilds, and long-term service programs for high-volume compressed air applications.

Adding Hanwha Power’s centrifugal compressor portfolio adds to the JBS legacy, providing customers access to advanced, energy-efficient, and oil-free centrifugal compressor platforms supported by a distributor with an established regional presence and customer-focused service. Sales, service, technical support, and field response will be delivered through JBS’s offices in Nashville, Knoxville, Elizabethtown, and Evansville, ensuring fast local coverage and service continuity for facilities of all sizes.

“We are pleased to add John Buchard & Sons as an authorized distributor for Hanwha Power America,” said Mike Sicker, President of HPS America. “Their history, longevity, and dynamic sales force will be a very potent force-multiplier to drive new equipment sales and service support throughout the region. We look forward to growing our partnership in the years to come.”

Hanwha’s oil-free centrifugal systems are engineered for continuous operation, minimal maintenance, and significant energy efficiency. The compressors are broadly used in industries such as manufacturing, air separation, electronics, oil and gas, steel, and advanced materials processing—environments where clean, reliable, high-volume air is essential. Their performance advantages include:

  • ISO Class 0 oil-free compression
  • High-efficiency impeller and bearing technology
  • Reduced lifecycle cost via simplified, non-contact mechanical design
  • Remote monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities
  • U.S. support through Hanwha’s Houston-based service and packaging center

Hanwha Power Unification

In late March 2026, Hanwha Impact’s subsidiaries, Hanwha Power Systems and Power Systems Manufacturing (PSM), integrated their brands and changed the company name to “Hanwha Power.” The unified company will proactively address the quickly evolving demands of the international power generation market. Hanwha Power will position itself as a comprehensive energy infrastructure provider, covering main equipment, auxiliary systems, and services.

The unified business will allow customers to work with a single partner, optimizing the entire lifecycle and responding quickly to a changing energy environment where a stable power supply is becoming a critical challenge. The integration propels both companies beyond their individual, equipment-focused structures into solution providers with response capabilities across gas turbines and compressors.
