Mitsubishi gas turbine to power Middletown Energy Center

NTE Energy (NTE) of Saint Augustine, Florida, USA has chosen Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas Inc. (MHPSA) for the supply of a natural gas powered M501GAC Gas Turbine for the Middletown Energy Center that will be built in Middletown, Ohio.
The Middletown Energy Center, to be constructed, owned and operated by NTE, has a planned completion and commercial on-line date of April 2018. The facility will produce 525 MW of electricity, enough to serve 400 000 homes.
The M501GAC gas turbine to be installed at the Middletown Energy Center will be manufactured at MHPSA’s Savannah Machinery Works in Savannah, Georgia, USA.
