Chechen thermal power plant to be equipped with Siemens gas turbines

The first set of equipment is currently being installed at the construction site. Siemens supplies are carried out under the contract, which was signed in early 2018. The project of TPP construction is being implemented by Gazprom Energoholding while the gas turbines will be put in operation by Siemens specialists.
The Grozny thermal power plant is being built in Zavodskoy district of the capital city of Chechnya. It will consist of two gas turbine units with a total capacity of about 360 MW. The station will operate mainly on natural gas. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2019.
