In 2024, the Industrial Process manufacturing facility secured $160 million in orders and is targeting over $300 million in annual orders by 2030.

ITT Inc. successfully completed Phase Two of its approximately $25 million project to expand the Industrial Process (IP) manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, doubling the company’s capacity and bolstering its position as a preferred supplier to Middle Eastern customers. In 2024, the site secured $160 million in orders, and, with the new expansion, ITT is targeting over $300 million in annual orders by 2030.

“This expansion builds on our strong foundation in the Kingdom and is a strategic investment in ITT’s future growth, our people, and the plant in Dammam,” said Luca Savi, Chief Executive Officer and President, ITT Inc. “ITT is committed to growing in the region with our Middle East customers. Our local engineering and manufacturing in the region for continues to deliver for our customers and will continue to fuel growth for ITT in the Middle East.”

The first phase of ITT’s investment in Saudi Arabia, announced in 2024, increased power and the testing capacity for larger, more complex pump packages. The current expansion work increased the site’s total land area to approximately 30,000 m2 in anticipation of future growth. ITT is expected to begin the third phase in 2027, which will establish additional manufacturing capacity.

Saudi Arabia is among the fastest growing markets for ITT’s flow business, accelerated by higher market demand and the IP facility’s positive performance track record for large-scale projects. This includes an average of 96% on-time delivery since 2019. The company’s IP business specializes in flow technology for the chemical, energy, mining, marine, and industrial markets, with approximately $1.4 billion in revenue in 2024.

Pump Testing Expansion

In March 2024, ITT announced an approximately $11 million investment in its IP sites in Obernkirchen, Germany, Vadodara, India, and Dammam, Saudi Arabia to increase its pump testing capabilities and expand the capacity of large project awards for its flow business. These IP sites will grow the company’s power capacity in pump, motor, and control systems testing so that ITT can test larger, more complex pump packages locally.

ITT’s Bornemann pumps site in Germany will be able to replicate field conditions using complete unit multiphase fluid testing, with a specialized focus on pump packages installed for global carbon capture and decarbonization applications. The investments at ITT’s Goulds Pumps sites in India and Saudi Arabia will support the company’s future growth strategy— ‘in region, for region’.

Svanehøj Acquisition

In January 2024, ITT completed an acquisition of Svanehøj A/S. Through the purchase, ITT’s Industrial Process division gained access to additional pump technology, cryogenic applications for the marine industry, and aftermarket services for these cryogenic applications. Svanehøj’s pump portfolio contains deep well gas cargo pumps, fuel and energy pumps, and tank control systems for low-emission and green fuels. ITT will fund the acquisition through a $300 million term loan, which took effect on Jan. 12, 2024.
