New bearing isolator to be unveiled at Houston symposia

Flowserve Corporation, a provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced plans to debut its new Bearing Gard bearing isolator at the 2014 Turbomachinery and Pump Symposia in Houston on Tuesday, September 23, during a press conference at 3:30 p.m. in booth 1213.

One of the major causes of pump downtime is contamination of the bearing lubrication system. The new Flowserve bearing isolator can significantly reduce this contamination, in part due to the addition of static shut-off technology. Flowserve has also developed a faster manufacturing process to provide same-day manufacturing and shipping, even on custom bearing isolator orders.

Flowserve bearing isolators support pumps serving chemical processing, petrochemical, biofuel, corn processing, pulp and paper, oil and refining, power, water and wastewater, mining and other industries.

Ken Lavelle, President, Flowserve Seal Operations said the symposia provides an ideal setting for customers and the media to get a firsthand look at a product that offers several significant improvements over previous bearing isolator designs. “We expect that our customers will be excited about these new features, especially when coupled with the fact that we offer same-day shipment for standard as well as custom sizes.”
