Key Takeaways
- Rolls-Royce secured major Trent engine orders and TotalCare service agreements.
- Strong demand for widebody engines confirmed at the airshow.
- MRO network significantly expanded with Air France Industries KLM E&M.
EGYPTAIR, STARLUX Airlines, Riyadh Air, AviLease, and Vietjet Air placed orders for Rolls-Royce’s Trent XWB-84, XWB-97, XWB, XWB-97, and 7000 engines.
Rolls-Royce announced several orders, including TotalCare service agreements, at the Paris Airshow 2025.
Rolls-Royce also announced that the first Trent XWB-84 engine scheduled for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) was inducted at Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance’s center based at Charles De Gaulle Airport, Paris, France.
This development allows for exclusive support of the Air France fleet. As a result, Rolls-Royce will gain additional capacity to assist customers worldwide. The facility enhances Rolls-Royce's existing MRO presence and meets the increasing long-term demand for new civil large engines.
The announcement follows an agreement, made at the Paris Airshow 2023, for the maintenance and repair of Trent XWB engines powering the Airbus A350, building on an initial agreement signed between the two groups in 2014, as part of Air France-KLM Group’s acquisition of the aircraft type.
“Today’s announcement marks an important milestone on our journey to significantly increase our global MRO capacity and capability by 2030,” said Paul Keenan, Director - Commercial Aviation Aftermarket Operations, Rolls-Royce. “AFI KLM E&M has a long heritage of MRO experience that will enhance overhaul and repair capabilities for the Trent XWB-84 engine. We are delighted to have them as part of our global network. Today’s announcement will allow for additional capacity in the entire Rolls-Royce network and is further proof of our commitment to deliver both excellent products and services to our global customer base.”
Anne Brachet, Executive Vice President, Air France KLM Engineering & Maintenance, said: “The induction of the first Trent XWB-84 engine into our Paris facility marks a major milestone in our partnership with Rolls-Royce and in the continued evolution of our MRO capabilities.
“This new chapter enables us to provide dedicated support for Air France's A350 fleet while also contributing to the global Trent XWB aftermarket network. It reflects our commitment to combining technical excellence and innovation to meet the evolving needs of next-generation aircraft and engines."

In May 2025, The U.K. Ministry of Defense’s (MOD) Defense Equipment and Support (DE&S) division granted Rolls-Royce a five-year maintenance, service, and support contract for the EJ200 aero engine that powers the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon combat aircraft fleet: The Typhoon Engine Support Solution (TESS) allows Rolls-Royce to prolong maintenance and repair operations on 130 EJ200 engines.
The MOD’s TESS award will be executed at Rolls-Royce’s U.K. Defense headquarters in Bristol, which leads the research, development, and manufacture of the United Kingdom’s next-generation military power and propulsion technologies. TESS will also establish critical skills for the Royal Air Force, allowing it to deliver rapid air capabilities and fulfill future initiatives, such as the Global Combat Air Program.
