PTT Exploration and Production awarded Everllence a contract to deliver two RB-type compressor skids for Thailand’s first carbon capture and storage project at the Arthit gas field in the Gulf of Thailand. The units will support PTTEP in capturing and storing up to 1 million tons of CO2 per year. The supply scope includes two compressor trains based on RB barrel-type compressors for CO2 handling and reinjection, with both units driven by gas turbines from Solar Turbines.
Baker Hughes was awarded a 60-month service contract from Petrobras to support critical turbomachinery equipment across Brazil’s offshore operations and a major refinery. Under the contract, Baker Hughes will support up to 64 LM2500 and LM6000 gas turbines installed across multiple sites, including approximately 19 floating production, storage, and offloading vessels in Brazil’s offshore sector, as well as the Replan refinery in Paulínia, São Paulo.
IHI Corp. and GE Vernova have successfully demonstrated 100% ammonia combustion in GE Vernova’s F-class gas turbines, marking a significant step toward carbon-free power generation. The test results aligned with both companies’ roadmap for developing a fully ammonia-fueled gas turbine, targeting commercial deployment by 2030. The demonstration took place at IHI’s specialized test facility, designed to replicate the operating conditions of GE Vernova’s F-class turbines.
Siemens Energy and ESENTIA announced progress on Phase II of the 2026 – 2028 Expansion Plan, a project designed to bolster Mexico’s natural gas transportation infrastructure. Per an exclusive collaboration agreement signed in 2025, Siemens Energy will install two turbo-compression units to raise system capacity and reliability for Mexico’s industrial and power generation markets. These 15-MW turbo-compression units will be installed at two strategic locations: the San Juan Compression Station in Chihuahua and the under-construction Aguascalientes Compression Station.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries announced plans to launch a 10-MW class centrifugal chiller designed for next-generation AI data centers in the North American market, targeting industrial-grade AI computing infrastructure. The system uses a high-efficiency centrifugal chiller design with an in-house developed compressor, optimized through a single-compressor configuration to achieve strong performance at both part-load and full-load conditions.
