Rolls-Royce Trent for US LNG plant

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc recently said that BG Group has selected twelve of the company’s Trent 60 DLE gas turbines for its LNG Export project in Louisiana, U.S. BG Group is likely to use the turbines to drive propane and refrigerant compressors in its LNG trains.
The two companies have also entered into a 25-year contract for maintaining the equipment which is scheduled to commence from early 2015. Both the equipment and service contracts are expected to be activated in the first half of 2015, subject to the US LNG plant permitting process and final investment decisions by BG Group and Energy Transfer, Rolls-Royce said.
